"The Assassination" film - click to watch

Whats up guys,
I have a little neighbor, who just turned 6, that looks up to me and he always comes over and wants to hang out. He saw a couple of my airsoft guns laying around from the day before when i went airsofting, and he wanted play with them.
He then saw my Canon A1, and wanted to make a movie with all the guns. So i said, eh what the heck, lets just mess around and see if we can throw something together because he thought it was cool.

"The Assassination" is a short dramatic sort of comedy, and was shot in the matter of like 15 minutes of messing around with my Canon A1.
This is the first film i actually edited together and published.
So, I thought id share it with you and get your guys feedback.

The link is above.
Hope you enjoy.

It's a 6 year old running around with toy guns to music that doesn't suit it... Well, I'm sure the kid had fun watching it.

The music was nice, but I agree, it didn't necessarily fit with the scene. It's a good attempt, but I was kind of curious as to what was actually going on. I'm just not sure and don't know about the kid playing with guns that look so real - even if they had the orange on the barrel. Editing was decent. Keep at it.

yeaa,
it was kind of just a spur of the moment thing we shot.
we didnt intend to put it together how we did at first.

no point to it really.
The kid goes to the back to assassinate the bad guy, he shoots some other guys (which you cant see), throws a grenade (the spray paint can) then shoots that and it blows up, then the bad guy comes after him to kill him, but the kid comes out on top killing the bad guy.

just thought i would throw something together for him cuz he liked messing around with the cam and the guns.
And i got full permission from his parents before we even took out those guns.
I wasnt too sure about it either at first letting him play with those guns, but i explained everything to him how they were not safe to play with unless in a safe environment and properly handled.

thanks for the input too.
glad to see some people watched it.

It's very cute and very decent for what it is.

Keep on shooting and cutting and you will get better and better.

No joke, Stephen Spielberg started by making movies in his backyard just like this!

Looking forward to your next one!

Mitzenfauker, now I understand. So, I guess it was good for what it intended to be. You wanted to play around and see what you could do and get the kid involved. Keep at it. Experimentation is how you get better. . .at least that's what I keep telling myself. LOL

Excellent comment Este.

yeaa sound effects woulda been a nice touch to it.
Ill have to keep that in mind for the next ones i shoot.

thanks for all the comments tho.
Hope you guys all enjoyed it.

yeah I thought it was cute. my nephew loves to mess around and play war, and we once did a short film together, even though the music dosn't go all that well with this piece, I am curious to what song that is? it's beautiful.
