The A-Team movie!

I'm cool with everyone but B.A., Just not sold on athletes/fighters/pro wrestlers acting., I'm sure theres plenty of big black dudes that HAVE acted that could bring something to the role. I'm aware B.A. Baracus isn't exactly a deep character, but I may eat my words in june....

I have to see this simply because the A-team is part of my childhood. But you can tell from the trailers that Rampage can not act...at all. As long as there are some crazy action scenes I'm down.

A-team

A-team

Looks like this one's finally shooting. Of all the TV show remakes this is one I actually want to see.

You and me both. Some of my childhood friends and I used to go on A-Team adventures every weekend. All we really did was sneak and climb over the huge concrete wall at the old folks home and take the elevator all the way up to the top floor. We thought we were sneaking pass security. The truth was the old folks enjoyed seeing us playing so they let us do it. But we didn't know that at the time. In our minds we we're soldiers of fortune :kali:

This movie looks pretty fun. But does anyone else not like the image that comes from "Hawk" lenses? The HD trailer looks really grainy, more like 16mm then 35mm. Plus the colors just seem........ off. But that could be on purpose and not because of the glass.

Agreed

Agreed

Speaking of Clooney, it would have been fun to see Steven Soderbergh's version of the A-Team:

Hannibal = Clooney
Face = Pitt
Murdock = Matt Damon
B.A. Baracus = Ving Rhames

That would have been something to see. Except, I would like to see Jim Carey as Murdock

First of all, why The A-Team?

Of all the cheesy 80's tv shows that my generation survived, and there were an assload of them (Charlies Angels, The Love Boat, Knight Rider, CHIPS, The Fall Guy, I mean the list just goes on and on), why the A-Team? Was it simply because it was the cheesiest of them all?

Please no more! Have pity on me!

Honestly, this trailer doesn't look too good. It seems to be trying to appeal to A-Team fans rather than trying to broaden to new fans. Honestly, it looks corny, over the top, and not even sure if I want to rent it. Maybe it's because I didn't grow up with them, but when I want action I watch the bourne series. This is taking a step back to the old action days (which sounds better than it is). I mean that tank out of the plane bit is a huge focus of the trailers, but it just feels as stupid as when Colonel Quatrich jumped out of the Dropship with his Mech in Avatar.

More stupid. Tanks don't have big long-travel mechanized shock-absorbing legs to take the impact energy - not to mention to avoid lethally transmitting it to the crew.

In all fairness, Charlie's Angels, The Love Boat, and CHiPs were all cheesy '70s shows which survived into the '80s. Hope that answers your question. :)

Being a big MMA fan I'm hoping rampage Jackson is good in this but form the trailer that may be wishful thinking.

I'm looking forward to a big, dumb, fun action movie; crossing fingers now.
