Hey Jim,

I would like to say thank you and that I have alot respect for for building this camera. I am a former oakley employee and you never seem to suprise me in the direction that you are heading...its nice to see someone that has the resources to make a change on a whole industry because of passion. Thanks

I have to say, i'm somewhat disappointed that this camera came on the market...

Well, not really, of course, but it does now mean that i'm not going to college anymore, because I'd much rather pay 25k for a camera than about 40k for a piece of paper. My parents are gonna be pissed, but, eh, whatever, I mean, I'm sure they'll understand. 4K man!

Seriously though, good job Mr. Jannard. Any chance that you have merit scholarship programs for students looking to buy your camera?:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

I'd like to echo this quite loudly. As an aspiring "film"maker, I've been longing for a camera like this for years. YEARS! I was thrilled to see the introduction of variable frame rates to camcorders with the HVX (which is a great cam for the price), but many other features I desperately desired were not present (depth of field being one of the biggest issues for me.) The Red One may be more expensive by comparison, but it has everything and I mean EVERYTHING I've been wanting for the past several years. It's worth every friggin' penny to film guys like me.

And I'd also like to say thank you, simply because I know this takes a lot of guts and a lot of resolve to make a camera like this. I know you say you're doing this because you want this camera for yourself, Jim, but you're doing a lot of us an ENORMOUS favor.

Giving you 17,500 of our hard-earned cash is the least we can do to say "thanks." And I hear we get a camera in return. Can you confirm this? :)

Thank you, Jim!
