Thanks and goodbye AF100!

Have to agree. I was considering selling my AF102 for a while but figured id stick with it as the cost of replacing it was much higher.

Anyway been shooting a show for Shine on the Sony F3 and after using that for a few weeks I am so glad I didn't sell the AF102, the difference is a Bee's dick really. Unless you can step up to Alexa territory you really aren't going to get much of a benefit in the real world.

I have both the AF100 and the F3. BIG difference between the two. I love my AF100, which I got first, but the F3 blows it away especially with S-Log and 10 bit external recording. You can do much better post color work with the footage, my clients much prefer the final image when compared to the AF100. I still use both cameras, the AF100 gets more web based work and the F3 gets the high end productions. Had the F3 come out before the AF100 I wouldn't have gotten one, but now that I have BOTH I am very happy. Sure the F3 is more $$$. I paid for the AF100 after a couple jobs, the F3 after a few more. Gotta get the camera that fits the budgets of your work, for me that is the F3. Till I can afford an Alexa.

Enjoy the next progression John. I'm just finally feeling better with the AF100 after a year but was ready 3 times to upgrade but haven't pulled the trigger. Hope i don't see you at the chiropractor again. lol it's me Monday from Dr. Romano office in Olney MD. We were treated at the same time.

I've heard others that own AF100's moving to the F3 just because they can't stand the m4/3 and want the field of view associated with S35. Makes me scratch my head.

Even if the difference was incredibly marginal, if you have the client base that makes upgrading to an F3 a good ROI, then by all means.
