These are deep focus landscape test shots at 11mm on a Canon 550D with Tamron 11-18mm 4.5-5.6. The video is mostly taken with the lens sweetspot around f7.1-11. When you manually choose f8 and focus at around 0,8 meters, it will give a depth of field from 0,45m - Infinity.

Some bright shots needed f22 for a proper exposure. Picture style neutral were chosen with contrast and sharpness all the way down and with the saturation 2 steps down.
(source prolost.com/blog/2009/8/3/flatten-your-5d.html). ISO was between 100-400. Raw footage is modified with cleanup noise reduction, sharpening and levels.

It's about how the Tamron handles, high depth of field in outside situations. Some choppy camera movement shows the distortion in the corners. If you don't have a vertical object in the far corners of your frame, you'll be alright. The lens can produce some muddy looking shrub and leaf patches but detail will return when moving shadows and gamma in levels.
I got mine for 175 euro used and it might be an alternative for the more expensive Tokina 11-16mm 2.8. I'm pleased with the results.

And yeah that's my happy dog Boy.
