GH4 Testing slow mo. Youtube footage included.

Two things, First, those are NOT NIKE's but "NEW BALANCE" shoes (which have been around for a long time). Second, he just BARELY hit the landing on that back flip! LOL!!!

Ah okay thanks for pointing it out. Yes he was a bit rusty.
Anyway as for the cam itself I am pleased how it performs. What I learned though is that the AF is not reliable at all for tracking in video. I hoped more from the new depth from defocus system.

I still haven't tested the GH4's autofocus while filming, except occasionally with a static subject, but are you aware it doesn't work at all in slomo?

Yes of course.
But I just stated that I tried it out as well during couple of shots in 4K and HD with both 1 person moving and then 2 people in the shot as well. The autofocus wanders around a lot. And even when it manages to get a person into focus its very slow. So yeah in the end its best to just use manual.
I thought maybe its because of my lens, but it doesnt seem to be the case as the CamerastoreTV got bad results as well with the AF (Starting from 5:50): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AX56Mo8WPM0

But when the person is stable in the other hand the result is good yes.

You are correct.
In my mind thought I had. Sorry about the misunderstanding.
Btw have you now tested the AF on video yourself too?
