Teleprompter for GH1

I'm looking at getting a teleprompter for my GH1

Digital Juice has iMobile Prompter's for $579 to use with my Ipad.


B&H has the ProPrompter HDi for like $884

Looking for something that will work fairly well but not break the bank.

I already take my iPad along with me in the field as it is so I might as well put it to use.

I know for some corporate stuff I'm doing it would save a TON of time!

Have no experience with one of these myself, but generally there's no rocket science involved in TPs. I have biult a DIY one from two-way alluminium coated glass picked up at a local glass supplier for $7 and fixed it on a tripod with an articulating ball-joint clamp from a hardware store. Worked like a charm even with green screen. But even regular glass will do the job. The trick is all about the 45 degree position.

I am looking at both of those 2 teleprompters also!
have you gotten any other feedback on which is better? With the Digitial Juice product you can use in Iphone or Ipod touch NOT just the ipad

Hey you should check out prompt-it.com.au they sell teleprompters and have one that you use with the iPad. I bought their iPhone smaller version, it works very well but only for smaller handycams and webcams. I can't wait for their iPad version to come out - will be super cheap at around $200 i think. Hope this helps.

I use the ProPromter with my HPX 302 and Canon 7D...

Will adapt it for the GH1 when I get some lenses...

I recently use this free application http://www.freetelepromptersoftware.com/
and ran on my laptop, positioned (about 2-3 feet behind camera) until I got eyeline right. Worked great. If you need real solution I would check ebay or look into iMobile Prompter. Cheers
