Teleprompter and LightRing

Hello, I have dvx 200 with Reflectmedia light ring. I was informed by autocue that they have a teleprompter that would go right above the camera as to not to block the light ring. With several discussions with autocue on the set up of this prompter, it's still not right.
The picture below isn't the exact set we have but the prompter is suppose to go between the lightring and the camera (above the scope). The problem we are having is that the built in mic and handle of the camera forces us to have the prompter higher then recommended. This makes our talent not appear to be looking at the camera but obviously reading off screen.
Does anyone have any suggestions on the set up or know of a better teleprompter for a lightrings?

Move the teleprompter forward of the handle; it can be forward of the light ring, as long as it doesn't block the light from the ring hitting the screen behind the talent (You can block off light hitting the top of the screen if you have the ability to crop your key).

Other tips would be to move the camera back. Try using a smaller font and reading lower on the screen.

I presume you can't remove the mic from the camera.

Also you will find that some practice by your talent on reading the prompter (this is a skill that mcuh improves with practice, it's not as easy as it looks!) will make a huge difference to the final result.

And for those interested in the resutls of using a Chromatte / Holoset ringlight with a through-the-glass teleprompter: They keying will work, however the rignlight overpoweres the reflected text, making it unreadable.
If you could make the text brighter than the ringlight, to make it readable, it would also affect your key.
