Telephoto lenses on shoulder rig... how stable?

How stable is the footage when using a telephoto lens on a shoulder rig? I've got a 70-200mm 2.8 IS that's nearly impossible to handhold for video, due to the long focal length and the weight of the lens. I'm wondering if a shoulder rig would allow me to use the lens effectively without a tripod.
 
It will help tremendously, but when nearing the far end of that lens, you'll still see some shake if you're shoulder mounted. If you're just standing there, while shoulder mounted - you should be ok. But if you're occasionally walking around - good luck :P
