I'm putting together a shoulder rig that detaches so I can mount the rails to my tripod.
I'll be using this rig with some big, heavy lenses: Canon 17-55mm 2.8 IS and (more importantly) Canon 70-200mm 2.8 IS.
I noticed RedRock and Cine City both sell telephoto lens supports to remove pressure on the body mount (I'm guessing). What I'm wondering is this -- are they worth it? Do I run the risk of damaging my T2i if I use my 70-200 2.8 for extended periods of time without one of these?
