GH2 Telephoto Lens for GH2

Hey all!

My GH2 just arrived and I got the kit with the 14-42mm Lens Kit lens.

I really want to get shots that are full body to medium shot with shallow depth of field, so I am looking for a telephoto lens, prime or zoom. I am thinking something in the range of $600 or less.

I know that the type of lens could determine the whole look of the image, so any suggestions would be appreciated...and also anything else I would need to use it (e.g. adapters, etc.)

One option I found is the 14-140mm stock lens they have: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/630572-REG/Panasonic_H_VS014140_Lumix_G_Vario_HD.html , but maybe there are others?

Thanks a lot!

If you do not need autofocus, there is also always the option of vintage telephoto primes that can give you a great look at a fraction of the price.
You can fit whatever mount on the GH2, so there are tons of options.

I picked up a AF-D Sigma 50-500 for about $600. Not the fastest or most compact thing... but dang sure telephoto :D

I just bought a vintage Canon FD 70-210 f4 for $19 on ebay. Added a lens adapter for $22. The lens is heavy and completely manual. A tripod or monopod is necessary but extremely nice lens for the price.

About the vintage lenses, I do have a Canon FD Zoom Lens 100-300mm 1:5.6 (zoom)...any idea what kind of adapter I would need for it to work on the GH2...and also how it compares with the Panasonic 45-200mm f/4-5.6 G Vario MEGA O.I.S. Lens for Micro Four Thirds in terms of image quality?

Am loving all of the suggestions and will continue to browse through them! Any suggestions about a telephoto lens compatible with the GH2 that is a faster lens?

I use the Fotodiox Lens Mount Adapter for Canon FD/FL Lens to Micro 4/3 Olympus PEN and Panasonic Lumix Camera. It has been rock solid for me. $21.95 on Amazon. I use one on my Pentax/Minolta/Nikon lenses too.

Do the lens type affect the color/image?
Was looking through footage from the Jupiter 85mm and it seems to have a different color/texture from others.
lenses are not color matched if not bought from one tv-series ... changing the lens will cause need to use color-matching presets in PP created by yourself
