Here is what I ended up with at dawn taking two clips with the same exposure/ISO but with the two different picture profiles. Conclusion, a lot more details in the shadows.
The picture above have the neutral profile on the left side and the Techicolor Cinestyle on the right side. Both colour graded and a unsharp mask has been applied with the same values on both.
Picture above has the neutral profile / non colour correction.
Picture above has the Cinestyle profile / non colour correction.
