Technicolor Cinestyle Nature video

This is a short nature video to see how the Technicolor preset would handle EXTREME nature contrast. I shot this on a mountain stream on a bright sunny day, with extreme bright dappled sun and deep, dark shadows. More info at Vimeo. The results were quite amazing! This is a fully graded clip, we all know how the technicolor raw clips look, I wanted to show how a finished video would grade up.

Wow, this looks really nice. I can't get anything I shoot with this preset to look like this on my 60d. I get a lovely flat image but also very noisey. I've about had it with this preset to be honest lol. It seems like it I don't absolutely crush the blacks, everything just looks disgusting.

Edit:
Or maybe not.

I have not found things to look too grainy, I am using a 7D, however I can't imagine they are that much different? One tip from Shane Hurlbut that I found useful is to expose using your regular preset, say NORMAL, then switch over to Technicolor to hit record. Often times it looks so bright on the screen with Technicolor, that its easy to underexpose. This would add some grain when you go to raise the gain in editing Color Correcting.
