I'm currently editing a project for a 7 day film festival. First time working with hvx footage and I got a few problems and I am screwed if I don't fix them soon.
1) I can't seem to add effects in FCP to my footage. I have it highlighted and double clicked but when i got to effects -> vid transitions all of the options are greyed out. What am I doing wrong?
2) Maybe this is normal but whenever I put footage into the sequence timeline I have to render it to see it. If I can preview the clip why can't I see it in the sequence? Is there anyways I could make it so that it would show up there? I don't need full quality until I export or do color correction.
Any help would be much appreciated as I've been sleepless for the last 2 days and the deadline is fast approaching. Thanks in advance.
