Teaser for new short "Stuffed"

Hey trunks, I'd have to say it's an improvement, I would just still reshoot it. Reasons why are because I feel like I should know the time of day for these cuts, or source of light. I know what you're trying to go for though, the sound gets me but the composition needs more work. ) : I wonder what a dark warm cc would look like, im gonna try it

Man, do I really suck that bad. I thought the composition of the shots was good. Here are some stills of the uncorrected original footage. Do I just suck at correction?

I wanted to portray it's night time so that is why I darkened it. I just can't seem to please any of you here.

John, Bluestar, I appreciate it. Those looks came out really nice.

What did you do to get that result?

Thanks

If this is really the full trailer then I don't really get it. I know you said it's a "teaser", but teasers are supposed to draw people in. I wouldn't be excited at all to see it because all you showed were pans of stuffed animals.

I wouldn't worry about pleasing anyone but yourself. Feedback is other people's opinions. Take em' for what they're worth.

Thanks Slimothy. I appreciate that.

As for the teaser part, this is actually the intro to the short. If I showed any clips from the actual short in here, I might give it all away. It's not a very long short. 7 minutes maybe. So I guess it's not really a teaser. It's just a clip. I just wanted to give something back to the site. You guys have shown me alot of cool stuff.

100 POSTS YEAH. NOW I'M SCI-FI VOTING ELIGABLE

Well I want something kind of dark but not too dark, because when the guy and his date come in after the intro, I don't want the house to be that dark. I want to give off that "night date inside a house" look. I do want a darker look for the opener but I'm still trying to decide. I like John's look but I don't think it will work for the mood of the rest of the film. I also like yours and bluestars look but I think it might be just a bit too dark.

I'll post a still or two of the uncorrected footage with the actors. Then maybe you can see what I mean. I'm kind of afraid to post the rough cut of the film when I'm finished editing it though.

Ok here are a couple of grabs. The first is uncorrected and the second is my idea. I think it fits the mood, I'm looking for. But I'm sure someones not going to like it.

Thanks Zach. This is driving me crazy. I'm so confused. People post color corrections that look close to that and people love them. No matter how many different ways I try everyone thinks they suck. :embarasse

Here are some more uncorrected stuff

I just want something simple that makes the footage crisper and makes it stand out without over doing it.

Ok, now I understand why the movie is called "stuffed". :cheesy:

Heh heh, ok, so here's some playing around with the look:

and

I gave the images a darker and redder tone. I tried moving towards red because of the way it affects people's senses. Reds give a sense of danger and excitement.

Don't argue with this guy. Um, hello? Didn't you read his title? I love that he went through the hassle of signing up to leave such an awesome message. Come on man. You could have at least used some profanity or at least some tasty sarcasm. Don't you agree? Doesn't it taste great!?
