C100: Teaser for a documentary

Hello everyone,

Here is the link to a teaser for a 52 minutes documentary shot with my C100 and a 17/40mm lens F4.
I used the WDR profile AVCHD. The calibration was done on Color.
The sound was made with a 416 Seinnehser on a boom and Mixer Sound Device 2 inputs.
The autonomy of the C100 was an asset because there was the Power Utilities only 4 hours per day in the evening.
The final editing will be done in May 2014.

You've got some good looking stuff here, and an interesting subject. I would say, however, that 4 minutes is a bit long for a teaser. Try cutting it down to a minute or so. Great work!

Solent, it looks like you have a beautiful film there :)

I agree with cowpunk that 4 mins is too long. At the moment its like watching a short film.

Is this for funding bodies or a general teaser/trailer? I have cut numerous teasers for broadcast / funding bodies, who dont have a lot of time to watch so you need to entice them early.

Try opening with the guys paddling in the canoe as its a nice dynamic shot to open on. Fasten the pace and be very selective about the dialogue .... as a few words can be more powerful than a few sentences.

But..regardless of what i say re the teaser, I think you have a really wonderfully important film and wish u the best to get it out there ! :)

Thank you for your opinion. I agree. We have a minute too long.
This trailer is designed for film markets and to find additional distributors.

Beautifully shot. Fascinating subject. Nicely done. Maybe what others say is right: too long for a teaser. Look forward to seeing where this goes. Nice!
