I thought the Nano worked like the P2 Varicam - only recorded the frames that it needed - so it had a Ntive mode?

So am I right in thinking that the latest firmware supports 720 and the tape Varicam will now function? Any idea about variable frame rates / falg recording etc.?

In this release it will capture all 60 frames and you will have to perform the extraction for variable frame rate in post. Not hard, Final Cut enabled this about eight years ago. Later we will add it to the Odyssey as well.
