tape duplication using firewire possible?

I have a cheap Panasonic DV camera plus a DVX100A. Both have fire wire. Can I get a firewire cable that will connect both cameras together?
If so, can I hook them up and then duplicate a tape by recording on my DVX100A from a signal sent by the other camera on the fire wire?
