Tamron 17-50 VC focus ring suddenly sticking

So all of a sudden my tamron 17-50 VC focus ring isnt as smooth as it used to be. the focus throw is already very short and with this new sticking problem the already miniscule focus adjustments is even more difficult. Duno why this has happened suddenly. Because its sticking i cant get criitcal focus as easily and when i do u can see the image move because of the effort it takes to overcome the friction (or watever u call it that is making it stick).

Is there anywhere to send this for some kinda check up or maintenance or something? i bought this 2 months ago!

I had the same issue. I had to end up exchanging mine for a new one.

Make sure the af/mf switch is properly placed in the Manual mode

yup it always is on MF. i'll have to sent it to to repair since its under warrenty. kinda sucks cuz i'm in jamaica.
