Ok well first off I appologize if I am creating this thread in the wrong area, I am still really new to this website.
I am majoring in video production and have slowly been getting the tools I need. I have now come to a point where I have been using a small handy cam camcorder but find that it doesn't do everything I need it to do. I am starting to look and research proffessional grade cameras or I believe they are proffessional cameras. I need help with knowing what to look for in a camcorder, what brands to look at, what brands to stay away from, whats the hype about dslr cameras vs camcorders, and finally where are some good places to purchase camcorders? I also have a budget of $3000 give or take a couple hundred so if anyone knows of types of camcorders in that area of cost that I should look into that would be highly helpful too.
Once again I am sorry if I have created this post in the wrong area.
