GH2 Taking It All Off - Shot on GH2 (no hack)

Hello, folks! Just wanted to share this little video I shot & edited.

Here's the link for iPad users: https://vimeo.com/66356293

Shot on my trusty GH2 (stock firmware). The first 40 seconds are on a tripod, but the rest is completely handheld, no external monitor, no follow focus, no rig. Audio was captured straight into the camera with a Rode VideoMic Pro mounted on the camera's hot-shoe. Edited in Premiere CS6 and color graded using FilmConvert Pro.

Let me know what you think. :)

Haha that was really good. Nice to see what an unhacked gh2 can do. I still haven’t hacked mine, but I think I’m finally going to do it. The grade looked really nice too; did you just use FilmConvert?

Thanks! I used the FilmConvert Pro plug-in for Premiere CS6. Tweaked it a little bit from the stock settings, but it instantly made it feel richer and more organic. Very happy with that little plug-in, and well worth the money.

I normally would have shot it with the hack on for maximum quality, but since I wasn't sure how long the shoot would take, I opted for stock firmware to have plenty of room on the SD card. For something destined to live on the web, the stock GH2 looks fantastic.

Cool subject!
How did you white balance on the day - looks very warm in places?
The lighting situation was less than ideal. I only had a small cheap-o LED light (supposedly daylight balanced, but it's sort of off) to help with the available light in the apartment. So, incandescent bulbs on the ceiling, a bit of real daylight coming in through the windows, and my LED light all competing with each other. I basically set the camera to daylight white balance, and let the colors fall where they may.

Phone call ... 'Hey Aaron guess what, we just got a road tour for the show! how about that! ..... Aaron? ..... Aaron?'

Cheers :)
