T6s weker codec, Lower bitrate

Canon T6s is a downgrade from T5i HAS LOWER BIT RATE AND A WEAKER CODEC, Bet is loaded with Moire and Aliasing.

What planet do you live in , T5i Commercial, T4i, 70D do not show Moire and all are usable only thanks the Mosaic engineering filter, otherwise would be totally unusable.
To this add the fact of the lower bit rate and weaker codec.
The problem is this: Is a weak codec with a lower bit rate, That I'll bet will not count with the Magic Lantern support to increase it.
Without Magic Lantern and its focusing aids is very difficult to make manual focus , because the VAF Filter softens the image, so you will have to depend on the Auto focus, that if is a fact
that frequently is great help, most of the time is more trustable the manul focus.
But Canon knows how to play with consumer concepts and gave wifi, a top window, and some more pixels.
IS AN UPDATE OVER THE T5i IN PHOTOGRAPHY BUT A DOWNGRADE IN VIDEO.
With the T5i you have a better native codec that can be increased with Magic Lantern, Also focusing aids from Magic Lantern , to make easier manual focus with the absolutly
indespensable Mosaic engineeering VAF Filter

I live on this planet not in it. You didn't mention what you thought of the quality of the video. Despite the weaknesses of getting there, they appeared to reach their destination. I'm not sure I'm going to hold them to such a high standard in a rebel series camera. Thanks for your opinion.

Aliasing/moire has nothing to do with bitrate, those are two completely different issues. Using a lower bitrate without improving the internals of the codec would mean that you'd get more macroblocking and codec artifacts, specially after grading.

In any case, I do feel the need to hold them to the standards of today: these cameras cost the same as the Samsung NX500. Nuff said.

Samuel English please, Never said bit rate has to do with Moire, I said to the Lower bit rate add Moire and you get A TERRIBLE MIX.
What I also said is that T5i already has Magic Lantern and a VAF ( Antialising filter ) plus higher bit rate.
This new cameras I BET will not have Magic Lantern, Will have Moire, and a Lower Bit rate.
I Own and I'm pleased with the 7D MarkII, Also own the T5i that with Magic Lantern and VAF is a great camera.
Just be aware that this new generation only offers Wifi as any $ 50 cell phone.
And Yes in a way is disgusting to see how the founder of the DSLR Revolution is NOT offering video to the level of the Sony A7s, Panasonic GH4, Samsung, and many more

Yes but with A Rebel T5i you have better options for quality video, like Magic Lantern , VAF available, Higher bit rate.
Yes Canon has better options for low budget video like 7D Mark II ( Love it ).
or the much better than T6s The T5i.
Canon drop the ball at the entry level video with this new cameras
And YES ON IT thanks for your correction

I really don't think that Canon would be aiming to try and match an A7s, or a GH4's video capabilities when it comes to there Rebel line of cameras. We have to remember that these cameras are not exactly designed for video in the first place. Yes, it is unfortunate that they wouldn't include some of the features from these other cameras, but how would Canon begin to sell their higher tier cameras like the cinema line, if you have internal 4K at a high bit-rate on a T6s? I'm not knocking the Rebel line at all, they're really good at what they do, I'm just saying that we really shouldn't expect a whole lot of change on a consumer DSLR from a company who took a 5dmkIII gave it more megapixels, put a new logo on it, and called it a 5Ds.

Just my opinion.

My point is with a T5i Magic Lantern and a VAF, You have a nice video tool, with T6S none of those besides lower bit rate and weaker codec.
Sony, Panasonic also have high end cameras, and despite of that are offering cameras like those just mentioned.

So, let's put it this way: if the aliasing/moire are still there (which I have no idea about yet), then, after four Rebel releases that were "just as good" in terms of video image quality, we might finally be gettin a Rebel with not-the-same image quality. Except, it would actually be worse. Haha, good one, Canon.

This is apparently coming from some one who haven't tried the t6s video at all, saying that it's a down grade and that you'd better off with a t5i. Absolutely not true. Try it and see for yourself. It's a whole different method of pixel binning instead of the line skipping on the t5i, and it's an entirely new sensor which can require different compression amount to give a specific result. They made it more efficient in fact, same compression quality (and much improved video as a whole) but with slightly smaller files.

Just to point out, the C100 has an even lower bit rate than 28mbits on the t6s at 24mbps h.264 8bit 4:2:0 yet obviously MUCH higher in video quality than the t2i at 40mbits h.264 4:2:0, higher bit rate. There are MANY more factors that determine the quality. Don't read such a spec and spread false information about video being downgraded, it wasn't, and you'll see it once you try it just for a couple of seconds...

C100 is AVCHD with different procesor, sensor, price, and despite of that the main complaint it has is the weak codec and bit rate.
By the way since you are the only one on planet earth that has shot the T6s can you show some footage , or is just imagination

Felipe seems to be on a single-minded quest to bash Canon; at least that's the case whenever I see his name pop up. In my mind it would be a mistake to conflate bitrate with image quality. I recently have been testing out a cheap Sony body (Nex-5t), and it clearly outperforms my 7D for video, despite a lower bitrate.

Good, Felipe. Now how might that logic apply to the t6i and t6s?

That is right image quality is different what you should know is that with a stronger codec and higher bit rate you can do better grading I mean a lot better.
The 7d has a lot of Aliasing Moire, that is probably why you don't like the image quality. But if you use the Antialising filter , you will probably be happy.
T6s will not have a processor or a sensor to the level of the C100, so image quality will not be comparable.
I don't know how much experience do you have in grading but for example I own a Panasonic AVCCAM, which is a very good AVCHD Codec, and not by far
you can pull tones or highlights and shadows, as you can with a T5i with Magic Lantern 100 mbs, about 4 times what you will get with a T6s,
AGAIN at this level the best option Canon offers is the 7D MarkII, with HDMI 422 output to a ninja star you get Prores HQ 220 422 , and if
you know how to use lights, GRADING, etc, you have a feature film machine.
WHY DO YOU THINK EXTERNAL RECORDERS EXIST ? To get a better codec for better grading
