t4i - Seems Canon is late

The last two versions of the rebel cameras were announced at the beginning of February in 2010 and 2011. Even the t1i was announced March 25th 2009. So Canon is running late announcing a t4i according to their previous three releases.

My hope is that Canon releases a t4i soon. I'm hoping it includes some features found on the mark3, including longer record times, headphone jack and better image control over aliasing and moire.

How likely is this?
What is likely to be improved on a t4i?

So is the 7d, Canon 60d......

Been waiting forever for a newer version with even reduced moire and aliasing.

If there is a rebel coming soon I would guess it will have the same sensor as the T2i & T3i and the new Digic V image processor. Canon will probobaly give the next 7D first dibs on an updated APS-C sensor, and later that would filter out into the rebel line. Longer record times and a headphone jack might show up but aliasing and moire are (generaly believed) to be more sensor related then image processor releted on Canon HDSLRS so I dont think you will see an improvement in that untill the next gen sensor comes out. The new image processor could reduce the noise at high ISOs, but will probobly be mostly benifical for stills.

they've had trouble rolling out a lot of their already-announced lenses, and they have deyaled (CR2) a couple of important releases lately (1DX, 24-70 II)... not the best times for those in charge of execution over at Canon land

I can deal with the aliasing the moire. It would be unfortunate, but workable. I guess the one thing I want the most is longer record times. This wouldn't be a personal camera for me but for my work. I do a lot of corporate interviews, so having these extended record times is pretty much a must before we move into DSLR territory over here.

Hmm. Wonder what's going on over there.
