General T4i : quick question for anybody that owns it

Can someone who owns the T4i answer a quick question (please)?

I was the store yesterday and noticed the lcd screen, when rotated so you are looking down on the screen/image, does not rotate all the way out, that there is maybe a 10 degree (theta angle as shown in the crude sketch i made below with my mouse) angle keeping the lcd from being perpendicular to the lens axis. But a friend suggested that perhaps I needed to force the lcd out until it clicks; which i did not do, i did not want to risk breaking the demo unit in the store.

Does the lcd screen in fact click and lock all the way out, so that that theta angle that I thought was 5-10 degrees becomes effectively zero degrees? I tried the Nikon cameras and they did not have this issue, their lcd screens easily rotate out to be in line with the lens.

I am wanting to buy the T4i, but not if that angle is going to be off axis, would drive me crazy composing shots.

Mine is the same, stops slightly short of completely straight. Does not click or go any further. And this is regardless of whether the LCD is facing up or back.

Yup, that's the way it is on all of the T?i's that I've seen too. It's a deal breaker for me as well, and I'm surprised that it doesn't get mentioned more.
