T3i - Hot pixel, can it be fixed after the one year warranty?

I have a hot pixel on my T3i that started intermittently, I think, about a month or so ago. Now it seems to be full time bright red.

Any suggestions? Is it something that can be fixed and has anyone ever sent their cam back to have it repaired? I saw a post about a 60D and doing a "manual cleaning", but it doesn't appear that the T3i has that option.

Manual cleaning is available, it just needs to be in M mode rather than Video, AV or Auto on the dial to get it to show up. It was a tip sent via PM. Thanks !!!
