Looking to buy a T2i in the $500 range, respond with actuation count, pics, included accessories and price.

Thanks!

If no one responds or you can't find one, check out Canon's direct store online - $639 for a refurbished T2i with warranty and all the packaging, etc. Basically like buying brand new.

No way in the world is anyone going to let their t2i go for that cheap. I have one for sale but the lowest I would go is $575-600 range

Looking in to buying the following for $650:

Canon T2i + Charger and battery
16gb SD card
Canon 50mm 1.8
Sigma 17-35mm 2.8 - 4.0

I hear that Sigma sucks, so I'll try and drop it hopefully dropping the price and then I'll pick up a Rokinon later.

Why don't you get it from ebay if you can show so many examples? Really though, you're pretty low balling here.

Maybe because he'd rather buy from someone in the dvx community than a random stranger? Also, those are FINISHED auctions, what they actually went for, not ones that are currently selling. I don't blame him for checking here first, I'd do the same. Maybe help out someone who wants to upgrade to some of the newer offerings or something.

Why can't we all just play nice?

Bingo, plus they wont split the lens. I bought my HMC150 through DVXUser, I love the community and would like to help support it.

So how in the world do completed listings count? That honestly makes no sense. Heck I can find tokina 11-16mm that were sold for $500, that doesn't mean ANYONE is selling them for that price now, heck the tokina 11-16mm are being sold for $700 now........ + all of those listings were close to $550+ area and they probably sold as fast as they were posted. All I am asking for is $575-600 range, if that can't be paid then fine, I just wanted to let the OP know that this gear has value.

Well I knew that it has value, is it wrong to want to pay as lil as possible? Are you telling me if you could get a T2i for $500 you would get it for $600 because of "the value it has". I am open to paying in excess of $500, but I would like something included rather than just the body.

I don't get why people are jumping in this guys business. Either you have a t2i to sell him or you don't. if not move on and let the look for a camera.

ROFL...
Dude, completed listings are the ONLY ones that count on ebay! Have you ever seen someone appraise the market value of something using ebay? Its a wonderful tool for real-life evaluation, however you have to understand how it works.
An auction still in progress is not a practical example because, as I'm sure you know, the price is not final until the auction is over.
Things that are still listed will either a) shoot up at the end when last second bidders jump in, or 2) be too high a starting price that no one will bite. The ONLY numbers that mean anything are the closing numbers, or rather what the items actually sold for in the end.

The average of what completed items sell for on ebay is generally accepted as the current value of the item.

You asked him to show ONE person selling it that cheap, and they came back with 4. Now, to be fair, he likely didn't show you the ones that completed for more (which is not his fault, you didn't ask for those). But the point still is that SOME went for less, and more than once.

And these are all recent- in fact, one of the items listed there just ended yesterday, and after 30+ bids only reached $570. So, there goes the theory that is was a fluke "buy it now" from last year or something.
Therefore, it is not unreasonable for the OP to expect himself to be able to find such a deal as well.

Listen man, I want my t2i to retain its value for as long as possible too, but we don't dictate the market value. The people of ebay have spoken.

EDIT: A friend who uses ebay to appraise market value pointed out to note that ebay value is often a bit higher, since sellers take into consideration the fees and cut that ebay+paypal takes on each transaction. Craigslist often has cell phones, cameras, computers, etc, for less than ebay because of that.

Haha thanks for summing it all up! I will go above $500, but can't see a used body going for much over that IMO.

This is correct.

The marketplace is for those buying and selling only. If you are not participating in the transaction in question, you should not be posting here.
