t2i unknowingly shot at 5mbps

Hey guys,

I shot a film over the weekend on my t2i and when the editor got back to me, he said about 100 clips were shot at 5mbps and were really pixelated. When shooting everything looked fine on the lcd, probably because the lcd is so small.

Is there anything we can do to bump up the quality to match the rest of our footage?

All clips were shot 1920x1080 24p at 1/48.

I don't recall 5Mbps being an option when shooting on the T2i.

That said, there's nothing you can do about it, if true, then to just reshoot.

I didn't think it was either. I'm using magic lantern if that makes a difference, but I couldn't find an option to shoot 5mbps anywhere. If I can find out how this happened, I can prevent it from happening again, but I have no idea how it happened.

Yikes sounds like a software glitch.....

Maybe reinstall magic lantern to be safe?

Unfortunately if the data isn't there to begin with, up conversion is a no go :-/

There is a bit rate option in Magic Lantern, it's not a software glitch - unfortunately this is likely a case of operator error

There really isn't anything you can do about it now other than reshoot.
