T2I shooting advice

Hey everyone, we're shooting a project this week with the T2I. The DP is familiar with the cam as well as the 7D, but I wanted to hop on here and see if anyone has any advice, tips, or even warnings on what to expect when working with this cam on a longer shoot.

I appreciate any input.

Keep the camera timer set to power down after 30sec if it's standing by. You will have much less overheating. I worked with a 550D and 7D on a commercial Sunday. The 7D shut down after 60 sec. and it overheated all day. The 550D shut down after 30sec. and never showed the warning once. I've had the 550D 3 months and have never seen the warning yet. Just lucky maybe.

Cool, thanks for the advice. I hope I don't run into that problem.

I wouldn't worry too much. From what I read, when I picked up the T2I I was expecting over heating to be an issue, however after working with it for a whole weekend it did not overheat once. I turned the camera off between takes obviously bu that was it. I think if you're just mindful of how hot the camera is or is becoming you should be able to steer clear of problems.

As for other advice for shooting on it, this might sound a little strange but bring a cushion for your knees because if you have any low shots and you don't have a monitor you're going to be kneeling to be able to see into the LCD and that can get tiresome for the knees after awhile.
