T2i Sensor Failure?

Gosh ..... not nice to see we got such errors ! Can't help with the name but surely doesn't look promising. Returning the cam ?
 
Looks more like memory card failure too me. It has happened to my friends pictures taken from a D200 and the problem was the memory card.
 
Great, thanks Babu. That is a hopeful place to start. I didn't even think it could be the card's fault - but that's a good place to start testing. That's why I love these forums.
 
Yeah, looks like a card/write error. Like when the camera was saving a file to the card, but the 'flow of data' got interrupted.

Maybe do this little test: grab an USB memorystick and write a large Jpeg file to it (large because it should take more than a second).
And while the computer is writing, pull the stick out of the computer. Reconnect the stick and look at the Jpeg. Chances are it looks like your example. Or you've got weird looking colours or etc...

Do only perform at own risk :2vrolijk_08: Or with a very old/junk USB stick of course.
