T2i Problem!

Soo, I am having a problem with my t2i.

It was working perfectly fine and I go to turn it on one day and now it just does not turn on. I have no idea on where to even start. Its in perfect condition, never been physically abused or seen water (stays dry inside my rain cover when its in the snow).

Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong?

Dead battery??

Take the battery out and look at the contacts.

Try a different battery?

I recharged all 4 of my batteries and tried them. They didnt work.

Look at the contacts inside the camera.

Sounds like a trip to the Canon repair shop.....

this happened to me when installing magic lantern. Take the battery and SD card out, format the SD card on your computer, then put battery and SD card back in and it should work fine. Did you ever try installing magic lantern? If so are you sure you didn't brick your camera or not follow one of the steps?

Will formatting my SD card on my HVX work? I just have no way to format it on my comp.

Also, I was actually just about to try to install magic lantern, but it wont turn on, so never got to experience the awesomeness of ML.

I have a feeling HVXGUy is right though, which I am not excited about since I have to go on a film trip on wednesday. Plus I dont think there are any canon shops in my area.

How do i know if the contact from the camera is dead or not?
