T2i plus a truly vintage lens

I was inspired by a number of posts I read in these forums about using vintage glass on your Canon DSLR. The video below is a test of a 1960's vintage Nikkor lens that was sent to me by a friend. Now that's truly vintage. It is attached to the T2i by means of a $14 adapter I purchased on eBay (Kawa-something or other). It's a nicely made adapter. Footage is all hand-held, with manual focus and exposure. Without lens stabilization, the need for a tripod become a little more obvious, but it's not too bad.

By the way, really really nice clip there. I love the character of those old Nikkors. You and some other folks are going to cause me to lapse back into LBA :)

Looks like it was a 50mm f/2 btw!

Wow I have a set of Nikor lenses I use with my Letus adaptor for my HVX. I will look for one of those adaptors so I can try them with my T2i. How does the manual aperature of the lens work in conjunction with the DSLR? any issues? Will the aperature readout on the LCD be accurate?

You use the manual aperture of the lens just like you would with an all manual Nikon (pre-LCD). Dial in the F-Stop, read the meter in the viewfinder (or on the screen). Piece of cake. To be precise the Aperture reads F0.0.
