T2i before purchase questions

Hi, I am thinking of selling my GH1 and getting a T2i but first have some questions. Can I use Canon FD lenses on the T2i and would that require an adapter? if I use a 28mm lens, what will the focal length become (it's double on the GH1)? Can I use any lens on the T2i like I can on the GH1?
thanks

You can use FD lenses on EF mounts with an FD-EF adapter, but you should know that there are some serious drawbacks. I have never used FD lenses on an EF body and I never will. The adapters have glass in them causing quality loss, you lose the ability to infinity focus, you lose a full stop of light (IE a 1.8 lens becomes a 2.8 lens), and there is an additional 1.3x crop factor tacked onto the 1.6x crop factor that APS-C sensors already give you (IE an FD 50mm appears as a 104mm).

If you use a 28mm, assuming it is NOT an FD lens, it would appear as a 45mm. APS-C sensors, as I stated above, give a 1.6x crop factor, as opposed to M4/3's 2x. You can use any lens on the T2i like your GH1, but the question is whether or not it is ideal. I suggest only using lenses that require glassless adapters. I don't know all of them, but off the top of my head, Nikon, M42, and Zeiss mounts come to mind. I use a Nikon prime lens set with my Canon DSLRs and I absolutely love them. I highly recommend the vintage Nikon/Nikkor lenses.

Why the switch ?
I was anticipating this question as scrolling. As a current owner of the T2i and former owner of the GH1, I personally feel like the T2i has a lot more to offer when it comes to personal cinematography aspects. The GH1 might offer higher resolution, but I'm not a huge fan of super sharp video anyway.

Thanks for the info. I have some others..
1. Is the Canon T2i/T3i as easy to use as the GH1 when it comes to shooting video?
2. Can I take the Canon video files directly into Premiere/After Effects like I can with my GH1?
3. What might I miss from my GH1 when I move to Canon?
4. Is T2i better in low light video than a hacked GH1?
5. I read that I can't use the viewfinder on the Canon when shooting video, is this true? so basically can only use the LCD which I heard is much better than on the GH1
6. Does ML improve the footage on the Canon cameras? how about the CINEMA picture profile?

thanks

I own both cameras.

Bottom line.... Both the GH1 and the T2i are capable of making good images as long as you have the talent.

Answers to your questions that I am familiar with-
1. It is not as easy to shoot with a T2i/T3i/7D etc as it is with a GH1/2. The GH1 and 2 were made as a hybrid with video in mind...the AF is faster, you have a working VF in video, you have...if shooting with the 14-140...essentially a video camera with the GH1/2 series. That is for casual shooting though- for set up type shots they should be fairly similar IF you add some sort of VF to the Canon
2. Pass to someone more experienced with Premiere
3. Again just casually using the camera you will miss the EVF for video , the articulating screen, the onboard stereo mic, the fast AF.
4. The Canons do offer better low light in my honest opinion.
5. You CAN'T use the VF, that is true...and yes the LCD on the T2i is better...but being fixed is a mark against it vs the GH1/2
6. I've never hacked one so I wouldn't know for sure...but there are a wealth of features that can be added through ML. And to add-

+1 on what David W. Jones said
