t2i and 77mm lightcraft nd filter

thinking of buying [h=1]Light Craft Workshop FADER ND mark II (MK2) Filter 77mm[/h]
is there any disadvantage to buying this?
reason im buying this is so i can fit the 77mm xhume magnet rings....and use the one nd filter for all lenses

for those focal lengths, it's probably ok

for longer lenses, my answer would be a big NO
