T2i add ons.

Yes the Tamron will fit.

They are quite notorious for being quite soft wide open (mine sure is). I'm not sure if I would get another one.

does anyone know a good wide angle lens? I have made my audio decision.

I just got a Nikon 28mm 1.8 on eBay for $100 and it's a great wide-angle lens. I would have gone with the Canon, but it's just too expensive for my budget.

Also, I would say that for me personally, an external monitor is very important. Probably compared to most people on this forum, I'm an old fart, so my eyes aren't as good as they used to me. Too many times I have shot what I thought was really good footage because it looked okay on the T2i's LCD, but ended up being out of focus. Especially when I'm shooting outdoor in Daylight.

For shooting inside of my home studio I picked up a cheap 720p LCD monitor with HDMI input and I get perfect focus every single time now. I just bought a used 7-inch HDMI LCD monitor and I'm hoping to get better results when shooting on location with it.

Also, again as an older person (and a bit on the chubby side of life), a steadycam tires me out, so I am working on improving my dolly to make it smoother and more flexible. Switching to lenses with some form of stabilization is a huge help there as well. Although, I did have to sell one of the grandchildren for my newest IS lens, but he wasn't my favorite... so...
