T2i acting odd (having problems)

Before I ship this into canon has anyone had this problem or know what could be wrong? Lately when my camera is on doing anything if I slightly bump it into any hard surface it cuts off. I've even done it while steadicaming and sat the steadicam down to where the camera just shuts off. Any bump turns the camera off. But the thing is, I can't turn it off then back on and come on. I have to take the battery out and insert it back in and THEN it turns on. And when I turn it on all my settings have reset to whatever settings I used before I was shooting when it shut off. Makes no sense and drives me crazy (especially when it's all screwed in to the steadicam)

Any ideas?

It sounds like maybe your battery or battery contacts in the camera. Do you have a spare battery to test with? If it does the same thing I would think that the contacts have been damaged somehow. In that case, either a return to canon or take it to a camera repair shop.

i had the problem with my t2i but it was because the battery grip wasnt screwed all the way and every bump was doing the same thing... if you don't have a grip check the door

No, I'm not using a grip, I'll have to look closely at it or just find time to ship it to Canon. Thanks guys.
