T2i/550d replaceable accessories?

I've been planning to get a T2i, and so I was checking out pawn shops for lenses - when I came across a 550D!

I couldn't believe it - and it was there with the kit lens for only $550!

It doesn't include the charger, however, which I see I can pick up for $60, but I wanted to ask if the USB cable that it comes with (when you buy it new) is a standard mini-USB connector or is it some specialized canon connector that I am going to need to get the $30 cable on their site. I might just get a card reader if this is the case.

I have a deposit down on it to hold it, but I can change my mind until Wednesday about getting it. I think it's too good a deal to pass up, a savings of $250 even after buying the battery charger and cable...

I assume I can just download all the software it comes with from the canon support site?

also, can you put the T2i firmware from the Canon site on a 550D, or do I need to go to the Canon Europe site for Firmware?

I have a 7D and this is what i can help you with,

The firmware is the same weather europe or asia.

The charger, you can pick up easily.

The software you can also download.

Now for the USB cable that has video and audio, its special, I tried to use another kind because I need to connect it to a composite monitor, it didnt work.


I tried going to camera shops, they don't have it.

Maybe in your area you can find one.
