i have shot about 10 weddings in the past month and each time the file.begins with 00000.mts so ive got 10 folders of c100 files all begins from 00000 to 00150 or somethibg

today when i opened em up some files are corrupted while some are the same clip ! like 10 copies of 00079.mts all thr same couple !

my 5d footages remain just fine ! im about to jump off cliff now ! any fix ?

That sounds gut wrenching. Did you copy the SD / file structure or just the MTS files? Also what program are you using to read the .mts files?

ive been dealing with c100 for over 2 years now, Ive always just copy the stream folder to the system and delete everything else

and when I drag it to the premiere its showing unsupported.

the file size is still correct, just the system is misidentifying them. I mean, the first 00079 is 510mb, the second 00079 is 450 mb, etc etc. so I bet the file structure is corrputed.

Ive put 700hr on my c100 and this is the first time Ive ever encouterd a problem like this.

and I believe its the hard drive failure... not my c100's fault. Im about to load it back to C100 see if it can fix it or not

I would suggest using the data import utility CD that came with the C100. You can go to Canon's website to download the current version!

Yeah, I use to just copy the stream folder before until for some reason FCP X wasn't able to read them even though it worked fine before. I was able to recover the file using Adobe Media Encoder in one case. I've use ClipWrap and video converter program I can't remember. On the other hand, it could be the hard drive. Hope you were able recover the file! If it is corrupt, there was an online service I used that worked but was expensive. Can't remember the name of it though.

turns out its a scary result. all the videos are messed up together !

one of the mts file even showing image from a 5d (WTF???).

I think the hard disk is failing. no way I can recover it, cuz the file is still there. not deleted. just messed up ...

what....

I understand your concern about a hard drive failing, but surely you have another copy on another hard drive or card. Hard drives fail all the time. If not you could try a recovery service.
