syncing audio from a Zoom H4 Handy Recorder

When I get my 7d I want to record the audio separately. How hard is it to get the audio to sync? Thanks

It all should work the same way with the 7D as with any other DSLR. It's more dependent on the NLE you use, so I'd check those forums as well.

Hmm...but I've heard something about having to slow the audio from the H4N down by 1% or something to match 24p shot on the 7D - is that true?

Use a slate with a clapper and you'll be in sync. It's worked for 80 years.

If the camera and seperate sound recorders are both crystal controlled which they should be, you're good to go.

Also, you should be able to use your guide track that is recorded from the mic on the camera as long as the subject isn't too far away from your double system mic, or the camera. Excessive distance can cause delays due to the speed of sound vs speed of light, but again, that really shouldn't be an issue.

wow are people STILL asking questions like HOW TO SYNC AUDIO WITH VIDEO ?

come onnnnn !!! go to film school or just FIGURE IT OUT !

Ive used a dvx100a didnt have to sync video. The point of a forum is to get the opinions and thoughts of others sorry if that bothers you.
