Switch to HPX300 and P+S Technik Mini35 Compact

I agree. Please post some more footage.

Ok so a lot of people have been asking for some test footage from our new camera. They were right there should be more, so here it is:

Clip1: Slow motion

Clip2: Person in street 3 lenses

Clip3: Ninja in street different shutter speeds

Have a look at the bokeh, grain and other stuff that catches your eye and let me know what you think.

Have a look at my blog fore the original clips without compression.
The adapter was purchased directly from P+S Technik

That looks nice. Thanks for posting. It's amazing what good glass will do.

Where did you buy the Mini35c and accessories from?

Footage looks great. How do you feel about the setup after using it for a while?

The setup feels very solid, hand held is a breeze compared to a handheld shooter with zacuto stuff. This just operates and feels like a real camera. the adapter is supplied with a handle and an optional start stop button on an extra handle. The adapter itself is rock solid, believe me Letus cannot compete with the P+S build quality.

For people wanting to get this adapter with nikons please get the pro mount. It's like a pl mount for nikon slrs.

Is the HPX lens mount the same as a JVC type 1/3" lens mount?

I'm trying to put together an HPX package with a PS adapter for a shoot I have coming up.

Thanks Balster, the Ninja shot was most helpful. Not bad at all. I"m lovin the color this camera produces.

balster, how does the skew and jello handle on the hpx300 and adapter and so on? i was playing around with a floor model one day and found that even a moderate speed pan had some serious issues, was wondering if you ever had the same problem.

I have heard some stories about people using the camera in a showroom setting and not being happy. I have never run in to any big issues in the jello field. On a CCD it's blur when you make fast pans and on a CMOS it's jello, either way you won't see anything and it's not really something you do during production.

I haven't tested jello or skew with the adapter fitted. My guess is that the results are the same since the adapter is just another lens fitted to the chip inside the camera body.

Are you liking the picture quality better with this setup than the EX1/Letus combo?

That's hard to say. The EX series are great cameras but I really like the colors that the Panasonic reproduces. I do find the Panasonic to be a bit grainy in lowlight parts of shots. This was never a problem with the EX. In terms of adapters and possibilities I am very pleased with the P+S Technik.

All in all it's hard to distinguish the added form factor features of the HPX300 from the EX1 with an adapter. Because the EX is just impossible to operate hand held with the letus. So the possibilities with the HPX300 are bigger.
