Don't forget the ability of the 7D to shoot at 60fps / 720p. That eliminate a lot of the whip-pan, aliasing, jello issues.

I personally don't think that upscaling 720p, if done well, is a big deal at all.

You're mistaken, shooting at 720P exacerbates the aliasing even more.
