I have a T3i and am getting a Tokina 11-16mm lens, hoping to purchase some type of stabilizer system to film snowboarding/skiing. Any suggestions, ideas, deals? Right now it's looking like a Glidecam HD 2000 is the best bet for the price, not trying to go anywhere over $500.

You're not planning to ride around with that, right? A Glidecam will swing all over the place if you tried to shoot snowboarding with it.
For a wide angle shot up close, and low, you'd be better off with just some kind of handle and a lot of practice on your technique.

Alright…news to me, but I haven't seen anyone using them professionally on the hill. The reason is that the action moves too quickly to pan with a steadicam setup or if you're moving at any kind of speed the motion and wind make the steadicam counterproductive. The other reason I don't think it's the best tool for the job is that if you're shooting at 11mm or with a fisheye, you need to get really low to take advantage of the distortion to make your subject look like they're a lot higher in the air than they really are. The Glidecam keeps you a couple feet off the ground because of the counter weights.
Post up some of your footage if you go with the Glidecam. I'd like to see if it is a viable tool in that situation.
