support group for low waitlisters

I'm #89 on the evs list. It's very depressing having such a position. I'm thinking other members may share this sentiment. so i propose forming a support group for people #50 and below. we can sit around, drink rum, leaf through hvx brochures, watch sample footage on an endless loop, and curse barry green. just a thought.
 
I'm number 71 on the EVS list.

It's starting to sink in that I'm not gonna get it until probably mid January or much later, even.

Oh, well. My script for the SciFi Fest competition is now sliding into the closet....

Hey Brian,
When did you place your pre-order? Rush never told me my position so I want to gauge where it is based on your pre-order date.
 
my dealer said they were shipped out 10-20 hvx's. i'm #11 on the list...now that would suck if they only received 10...somebody here is up 10 on me...uh...hemmm....
 
I prefer whiskey over rum, but it all has the same effect at this point.

Believe it or not I can't remember what number I am at EVS. I think it's number 56. I think when you get up this far on the list that it doesn't matter if you know or not....that's at least what I'm telling myself.
 
Ohhhh, man... Number 112 on the list. I don't even know why I try anymore.
Maybe I'll just slit my wrists and take a warm bath.

Well, it looks like all orders after 111 just moved up one slot :)
 
Dude I'm like number 156 - so all of you quit complaining! By the time I get mine, Premiere Pro 2 will be out and so will the firestore :)

My mom is deathly ill (ALS) and I want to get some great footage of family hugs
with the new HVX while there is still time.
Just starting a new production co. LLC was just filed a week ago.

All this waitlist stuff kinda freaks me out. How long does this waitlist crap last for? If i wanna get a camera sometime next fall, am I gonna have to join some list or something? Or is this just the initial run.
 
You guys are lucky. When I asked Rush at EVS where I was on the list for my two cameras, he said he didn't remember me placing an order, and then he said he would be on vacation for the next week!
(I sent him a copy of his e-mail telling me I was on the list as of Dec 6 after I sent the request on Dec 3.) Perhaps I need to broaden my search criteria, anyone know the number for Specialized Communications Corporation?

While we are at it here perhaps we need to start posting all of the dealers you guys know of who will get some of these HVX marvels. Competition is the essence of free market capitalism after all.

I am on the EVS list and do not want to know what number I am!!
I have cancelled all my shoots and edits until April 1. I will be cleaning up my office, painting my house, going skiing for at least two weeks, taking a self improvement class for patience, doing my taxes early, throwing away all my HVX information, doing more things with my kids and just zoning out.
