New question ... Does buoyancy still work the same? I mean Mike just covered himself and jumped in the pool. Would he stay afloat or sink to the bottom as if there was no water there at all?

Buoyancy would work the same as you'd still be displacing water, you just wouldn't be wet getting out of the pool. There might be a small increase in buoyancy but probably not much difference.
