Hey guys,

Another short for you. About 2min QT.

Caught it in my backyard.

Q: Why'd the colors look like that? A: The compression. I can't figure out how to compress things well. It didn't look like that before I crushed it.

Q: Why is it 30fps? A: I'm a moron sometimes.

Q: The Music? A: Kid Koala (A DJ from Montreal Canada)

And I know the there's focus issues but if you saw the angle I was lying on to get the shot you might forgive them.

Despite the obvious problems, I think it's pretty cool. What'ya think?

The film is nice...but the music is totally mismatched. Could be so much more suspensful and interesting with better music.

It was cool though.

Wow! That makes me squirm as much as the bee. I love how the spider starts throwing out web in a last ditch effort to catch the bee. And yeah, the music could be more fitting, even though the song is cool.
 
nice work. i actually liked the in-focus/out-of-focus shots. it's almost as if it emphasized the struggle between the bee and the spider.

the music doesn't work for me, though. it's good, but i don't think it fits. like i hear the street beats, but it takes me away from what i see. i would like to see it compiled with a more operatic piece. you've magnificently captured the struggle between life and death. i think it's phenomenal to watch. great work!
 
I thought that was great. How cool that you were able to catch that whole episode on film.

I agree though, I would play with different scores and color correction for effect.

You don't know the half of it. All I'll say is -- be *very* observant if you choose to walk between two trees that are, say, 3' apart or less (think "Indiana Jones" opening scene)...

Anyways..yeah - I agree that the music doesn't seem to go well with it, but I'm a fan of kid koala and his work.
 
Thanks for the feed back. I love that people have been watching it.

It seems that everyone is in agreement that the music is mismatched. I agree but kinda liked that about it. I guess it's not working. I'm going to rethink the choice.

I'd love to get this out on the web more. Any one have suggestions for postings on other sites or on-line festivals? I'm new to all of this so any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Slimothy: the spider was not that big. I was just close up.

Leseulgiraffe: No that's not a dog. Just a dead leaf.

I like the music, because "FREEDOM IS EVERYTHING." Hip nature stuff, the kids would eat this stuff up. Very cool.
