Has anyone tried this? A super 16 lens should have enough coverage if it was combined with a 1.5x teleconverter, unfortunately there aren't many 1.5x converters around. The Olympus EC-14 is a 1.4x teleconverter though and that is close enough that it might work with many S16 lenses without too much vignetting. Certainly if the intention is to crop the 16:9 to 2.35:1. It would require an Arri PL to m43 adapter to be mounted before the EC-14 and plenty of lens support but it's an interesting thought.
