I want to get an LCD for video village use. It would not be for critical focus or color judgement, so I'm apt to go with a more consumer level TV than broadcast monitor. I'm think around 22" would be ideal, and definitely smaller than 32" as the mounts for those to be used on a combo stand or C-stand are almost as much as the TV's. I think being able to be used outside (so a fairly bright screen), good contrast, and good viewing angle are important. I'd also like it to be small enough to put into a Pelican case (with the original stand and the mount) for transport. Is anyone using something like that for their video village monitor and/or have a recommendation? Do you think 1080p native resolution vs 720p is important? There's very few 1080p options out there it seems.
