I have looked up and down and found many threads with conflicting information about certain adapters working and not working and i am wondering if anyone has some real insight to add. I cant find any solid info.

Does anyone know of any working Nikon to E mount adapters?

Is the aperture adjustment on the Novoflex smooth, without stops, for video? Or just normal abrupt changes?

Then the mode of operation is to set the aperture ring on the Nikon at wide open, and adust the novoflex as needed? With the no stops feature, and the additional quality, and good resale value, then the Novoflex adapter is a good buy.

I've used the cheap version and now using Novoflex. A bit expensive but worth every cents IMO.

I have the fotodoix, small bit of play with most lenses, doesn't effect the image but its annoying, buying a novoflex when i have the money.

Is anyone using the MTF adapter ... I need to buy an adapter for f-mount lenses but I am a bit scared of the light leak issues. Is the MTF adapter much better than the novoflex, for me it is a toss up between those two.

Has anyone had experience with either of these adapters having any problems?

I use an MTF for my canon fd lenses, solid no issues, and I do not have any light leak issues and if the same design is used for the nikon you should be good. Check with MTF

If you use Nikon and want a slightly cheaper adapter. Not as well built as MTF products but much better than cheap adapters. Try this one . It also has light leak protection. Scroll down to Rayqual Nikon G adapter for sony NEX. It works with G and non G lenses.

Before anyone starts complaining that they're expensive. I know, Its been discussed. No need to drag this around. I'm just trying to help someone who asked.

I have the MTF. It is extremely solid, even with my Nikon G 24-70 mounted on it. With anything bigger, I would recommend rod supports for the lens, but that would be with any mount. The aperture control works great too. You don't have to worry about declicked lenses, since adjustments are smooth. The only thing about using lenses with no manual aperture, is that you can't tell what the exact f-stop is. I don't really care though. This product is an example of "you get what you pay for". It is solid. Also, there is a rod support mount MTF is just coming out with now. For primes though, no problem.

Any of you guys ever see issues with light-leak on the Novoflex? I just ordered one and should be getting it soon...I have a gig that will require me to shoot outdoors this week and I need to know if I'll be having any issues with that.

I just shot something this weekend (luckily it was a freebie) that I completely forgot to cover my cheapie adapter. Came back home and looked at the footage and saw that ugly line down the side of my exteriors.
