I am in the process of shooting stock footage of places and things and am in need of some advice on settings such as gamma and scene settings for a rich, colorful (but naturalistic) look. What I've shot so far always looks muted and drab to me and I'd love to punch it up a bit. Any advice from you pros much appreciated.

Have you tried all of six of preset scenes on the scene dial? Cine V has good color rendition and contrast. Cine D will give you more dynamic range so you have more options to tweak in post.

Also, what are you viewing the footage on, the camera LCD or a computer monitor? Lastly, grab an SD card, load it up with Barry's scene files and try each one out; you should find something in there that looks pleasing to you...

Cheers,
