Suddenly Rendering SLOWER THAN EVER!!???

All of the sudden, Vegas 8 is rendering unbelievably slow. The video is about 45 minutes, SD 16x9 in a 4x3 timeline so I have the letter box bars. There are some filters on it, but this has never been a problem before. It has been going for 3 hours, and has 8 left!?

The computer has 4gb RAM and a quad core processor. Vista 64bit (I have Vegas 8.1, which I thought was supposed to help more).

Does anyone know why this would suddenly happen? The footage is on it's own SATA drive, and the drive Vegas is running from has about 200GB left on it. Nothing else runs even a tab bit slow, except for this render.

Task Manager says 3GB of ram is being used under performance, but under processes it says Vegas is using under 200MB of the 4GB of RAM, and everything else running is under 10MB of RAM used, such as AIM and FireFox.

I don't know what Vegas's problem is.
Does anyone know any internal settings in Vegas that might make it act like this, I could have changed something by accident...

I will add that watching the frame count underneath the video preview while the render progress box is on top of Vegas, the frames go about 1-2 per each second in real time that pass.

I am so pissed right now.

I know I am talking to myself right now, but I have been watching the progress of this wedding video I have been exporting. I realized that the part it was going INCREDIBLY slow during was the ceremony.

Then I noticed that I had 2 different active video tracks for the ceremony. The top track was the track for camera 2, which had about 20, 30second cutaway shots in it from camera 1, which was on the 2nd video track. The rest of the video I combined tracks into one, but I didn't bother to for the ceremony.

Does this sound like a legit reason to slow everything down drastically?
After it got passed the ceremony, it seems to have sped up greatly, almost like normal.

Unsharpen mask and curves. I use the two of them on everything I ever edit pretty much and I never had it act like this.

That just doesn't sound right. Wondering if the computer thinks its supposed to be running other programs in the background or something went wrong with the ram sticks?... I notice with my Quadcore 3.0 with rendering it loads the ram, but the processor is a very light load. Like with after effects I have had fluctuations between 95-100% of the 4 gigs DDR3 1600 speed ram. I'm sure you restarted the computer to try again right?

I didn't restart it, it just sped up by itself, and it seemed to be after the wedding ceremony portion of the video (20 minutes long) which also was the only area that had 2 layers of video.

My little widget showed that each of the four parts of my processor were being used about 10-25%.
