Subscription notification for Shipping

Would it be possible to setup a thread that users can subscribe to, and when someone sees GH1's being in stock, they can reply to that thread so the appropriate people are notified?

It should be limited to certain retailers with good reputations.

Hopefully people realize not to reply to the thread for no reason. That could get annoying fast.

Thoughts?
 
Not a terrible idea.... as long as it's limited to only "in stock" posts only. Could be made a sticky too.
 
Right. And you have to keep refreshing it. This way, we all get an email instantly if someone notices the camera in stock somewhere.
